| Editorial Reviews:
Product Description Koolspace introduces their koolR series of wine cellar cooling units, a quieter, smaller, smarter way to protect your wine. Each unit is equipped with a convenient lit display that lets you monitor the temperature from outside your wine cellar. State-of-the-art digital temperature sensors monitor conditions in your wine room and adjust the power levels automatically, so there's no need to fiddle with the fan and power settings. Acoustic and thermal insulation makes the koolR both super quiet and energy efficient.
With a hi-temp alarm, excess humidity warning and a multi-level vibration suppression system, the koolR wine cooling unit ensures optimal storage conditions are maintained in your wine cellar. The koolR PLUS offers a cooling capacity of 3000 BTU/hr. and is designed for an enclosure up to 600 cubic feet.

| Customer Reviews: Piece of junk not worth more than 50$ February 25, 2010 Patrick Cloutier (Montreal, Canada) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
This product lasted 2.5 years and then broke and needed a 450$ overhaul. Our cellar was designed by professionals who insulated as per the highest standards.
The HVAC repairman told us they all break after 2-3 years and need the radiator and compressor replaced. ALL OF THEM. He has a very good repair business going fixing these exact same units and other units from Koolspace. He makes his living fixing koolspace products. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT.
Poor Reliability July 17, 2010 Pat Z (Raleigh, NC USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Just wanted to save people from buying this unit. I have had 2 units go bad each after just 2 years!! In both cases the compressor failed. The wine cellar is super insulated and is only 150 cu ft. I am trying to find a replacement and will never buy a Koolspace unit again.
3rd unit in 5 years! Junk! July 22, 2010 neverenoughwine 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Like everyone else here, I have found this product to be very poor. Everything written here is accurate. I am on my third unit. About $1350+ so far and the headache of reinstalling (which I do myself). Each one died after 2-2.5 years. And the new one I just installed is not cooling below 58f. These units are made in China. Maybe that's a clue. Regardless, design your cellar to accept a unit that costs more. You will be glad you did and worth it over time. You do not want to keep pulling a cooler out of the opening after 2 years. Design your cellar for a better unit!
Importer confirmed: their product sucks July 26, 2010 Evan Djikas (Chicago, USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
It's official: before I even read the reviews, I spoke to the importer (out of Canada). they said it was designed to last only four years. I had thier cabinet model and replaced the condensing unit twice in four years. Wouldn't recommend KoolSpace unless you are looking for a one-year solution. There are some advantages to the product: size, no condensing unit, quiet, allegedly energy efficient.
breaks consistantly May 16, 2010 D. McBride (CA, USA) Agree with the other reviewer - I have bought 3 of these and all have failed at approximately 2 years. I also have a professionally designed and built basement cellar. The reason that I have bought units 2 and 3 is that it was cheaper to replace than to repair.
